O’Neal Webster Managing Partner Vanessa King’s practice covers the major financial centers of the world, where her clients include international and domestic financial institutions, law firms, trust companies, and high net worth individuals. She is frequently instructed to establish or amend BVI trusts and various forms of corporate finance, such as bilateral and syndicated loans, project finance, property finance, and restructuring.

Ms. King has a long-standing record of exceptional leadership and service in professional, charitable, and community organizations. In 2016, she was the global recipient of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ ninth annual Founder’s Award. In 2021, she was distinguished as the BVI Financial Services Awards’ 2020 “Lawyer of the Year.”

She is a member of the BVI Bar Association, BVI Branch Chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Chair of STEP Caribbean and Latin America Region, and Steering Committee Member of the STEP Caribbean Conference. Ms. King is a member of BVI Finance Limited Board of Directors, BVI Financial Services Institute Advisory Council, Financial Services Commission Appeals Board, and the International Trademark Association (INTA).

In the community, Ms. King is the BVI Red Cross Board of Trustees Deputy Chair, serves on the Board of Directors of Green VI Ltd., and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Cedar International School. She also contributes considerable hours, annually, to pro-bono services.
